This recipe by Julie Bavant, rich in minerals, antioxidants and fibres, will provide you with the elements necessary to preserve your skin from ageing, while stimulating microcirculation.

This purple salad recipe is ideal for fans of our treatment Drinkable Food Supplements Longévité. Its ingredients will optimize the effects of the treatment on the skin's youthful appearance. They create a synergy of action with the active ingredients in the ampoule, such as collagen and maqui berry

Ingredients for two:
- ¼ red cabbage
- 2 beets
- 1 red onion
- hibiscus infusion
- orange and lemon zest
- 1 vanilla pod
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
- cider vinegar
- walnut oil
- olive oil
- tamari

Preparation of the grated raw red cabbage

- Cut the red cabbage into quarters (one quarter is enough for two people).
- Cut the quarters into very thin strips with a knife.
- Season with a pinch of salt, cider vinegar and walnut oil.

Preparation of the roasted beetroot

- Preheat oven to 180°.
- Brush your whole, unpeeled beet under running water.
- Put a little olive oil on your hands and massage the washed beets to coat them with the oil.
- Put them in the oven for at least an hour.
- To check that your beets are cooked through, the skin should be crumpled and the tip of a knife should be able to penetrate the beet flesh without resistance.
- Wait for the beet to cool, then peel by hand.
Our chef's responsible advice: roasted beets keep for at least 3 days in the fridge, so don't hesitate to cook several. Why not bake them in the same oven as the mushrooms and carrots in the previous recipe? This will save you time and energy!

Preparation of the candied onions

- In a sauté pan, place peeled red onion wedges in a base of water with olive oil and a drop of balsamic vinegar.
- Leave to compose, turning the wedges from time to time.
- Add a little water, oil or vinegar as you go along.
- When the onions are cooked through, leave to caramelize for a few more minutes.
- Set aside.

Preparation of the hibiscus reduction vinaigrette

- Make an infusion of hibiscus, adding lemon and orange zests, a few black peppercorns, a vanilla pod and two tablespoons of coconut sugar (or whole cane sugar).
- Leave to infuse for at least 30 minutes before filtering.
- Once filtered, reduce the infusion over low heat by at least half. The aim is to obtain a syrupy, slightly sweet texture, with a highly concentrated taste of hibiscus and spices.
- Once the desired consistency has been reached, leave to cool.
- Just before serving, add tamari to taste and a tablespoon of mild olive oil.
- Bring to emulsion like a vinaigrette.
- Arrange the remaining ingredients in a shallow dish.
- Pour vinaigrette over all.

The benefits of the ingredients

- Red cabbage is known and appreciated for its antioxidant and vitamin C content. It provides the elements the skin needs to fight premature cell aging, which is caused by oxidative stress. This vegetable is also an excellent source source of iron, essential for oxygen transport in the blood. Red cabbage is also rich in manganese, an essential element in the body's defense against oxidative stress.
- Beet is rich in source nitrate, which stimulates skin microcirculation and optimizes the supply of nutrients to skin cells. What's more, beetroot is renowned for its high content of rare, powerful antioxidants such as Betalain, Zeaxanthin and Lutein. Beet's benefits for the skin stem from its action on microcirculation and its antioxidants. It improves nutrient intake and protects the skin from cellular ageing due to oxidation.
- Vegetable oils (rapeseed oil, olive oil, sunflower oil, hemp oil, linseed oil, etc.) are valuable sources of Vitamin E and essential fatty acids such as omega 3, 6 and 9. Their équilibre content varies from one vegetable oil to another, but what counts is the quality of the oil (first cold-pressed) and its diversity. The fatty acids provided will strengthen the skin's barrier and preserve its hydration, which is essential for preserving its youthfulness.
-Onions are known to be powerful antioxidants, thanks in particular to their quercetin content. It also contains source numerous minerals such as selenium and manganese, which play an active role in protecting the body against free radicals and oxidative stress.

This gourmet recipe proposed by Julie Bavant is much more than a salad, but a real beauty ally. The foods present in this composition will have an antioxidant action, to preserve your skin from ageing due to oxidative stress. With this recipe and its richness in antioxidants, proteins such as marine collagen that ensure the firmness and elasticity of the skin are protected. This purple salad will have an action on the microcirculation in order to improve cell nutrition. By reinforcing the skin barrier, it will also preserve its hydration.
