At evoleum, we are committed to showcasing women who inspire us and who share our holistic vision of beauty

To start this new section, we had the pleasure of interviewing the talented facialist Alix Saint-Georges

In a few words, who are you?
I'm Alix Saint Georges, mum and facialist in Paris since 2018. I am originally from Lille and I travelled a lot before settling in Paris.

Your mantra?
Less products, more gestures. The skin is a living organ that needs to be massaged to fully activate its natural functions. Cosmetic products are wonderful tools, but so are the hands.

Your 3 favourite beauty products?
Absolution's Cleansing Cream, ultra-gentle and which allows for a real massage during make-up removal. Alaena's Fruit Acid Peel, which is very effective in improving the quality of skin texture. Clarins Tonic Oil, which I apply to wet skin when I get out of the shower, is such a pleasant energy boost.

The best beauty tip you ever received?
The one to massage my face for 3 minutes every night.

What is the wellness routine you can't live without (yoga, ...)?
I practice yoga 4 to 5 times a week (via an application and for fairly short periods!) Indispensable for loosening up the body and not getting sore all over with the massages! I also take 20 minutes every evening in my bathroom to remove my make-up, take a shower and massage my face. It's my decompression time after a busy day.

Can you tell us more about being a facialist?
This is a profession that is currently booming. It involves working on the skin of the face using manual massage techniques, combined with a thorough knowledge of biology and cosmetology. It is a practice that allows the skin to be cared for and maintained in a very physiological way, and which provides a deep sense of well-being. It is important to me to help my clients to regain a beautiful skin, sometimes to reconcile after years of skin problems. Listening and advising are an integral part of my job.

How did you get here?
I worked for a long time in marketing in Paris and Hong Kong before discovering facial massage in Asia. Over there it is a very common practice even if the term facialist is not widely used. I am passionate about skin and beauty in general and it is when I returned to France that I decided to dedicate myself to it. So I passed my beauty certificate and then I specialised through different training courses to become a facial expert.

Your sources of inspiration?
The entrepreneurs around me and the people who believe that anything is possible. It gives so much positive energy to move forward.

What's your bedside book?
Recently I was very impressed by Les Impatientes, by Djaïli Amadou Amal. A book about the condition of women, very moving.

If you had to choose, would you rather : Oxygénation Radiance or Longévité ?
It is difficult, but I choose Longévité because marine collagen is a wonder for the skin!

You can find Alix Saint-Georges on Mondays at Gynécée and on Thursdays at rue Henri Rochefort in the 17th arrondissement in Paris. The other days of the week, Alix practices in Bécon les Bruyères.

Our nutricosmetic cures are perfectly combined with the massages practiced by Alix for an in & out approach to beauty
